Cannock, United Kingdom: Aggreko, the world leader in the provision of temporary power and temperature control services, has been accredited with the OHSAS 18001 : 2007 Occupational Health and Safety standard across all locations in the UK, Ireland and Nordics.
Acquiring OHSAS 18001 highlights Aggreko’s commitment to attaining the highest health and safety standards. The accreditation equips the business with a recognised and structured approach to planning, implementing and managing an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS).
In addition, Aggreko has been recently audited by Achilles. Achilles is an external body that verifies a supplier’s status as a trusted partner, by assessing their supply capabilities and compliance with industry legislation. Part of this assessment involved a site survey where Aggreko was awarded 99% for health and safety and 100% for quality, environment and corporate social responsibility.
These successes can be added to Aggreko’s growing portfolio of awards and attainments for their efforts around health and safety and the environment, including full accreditation to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 across all locations in the UK, Ireland and Nordics. They also still remain the only power generation rental company in the world to hold the CEMARS accreditation for carbon footprint measurement and reduction commitments.
Martin Williams, Head of QHSE UK, Ireland and Nordics, commented “This accreditation gives our customers peace of mind that when working with Aggreko, they are working with a company that is leading in the fields of health and safety standards and environmental responsibility.”
